What is it to be an immigrant?

To hold on to the roots you have 

To replant them on a land 

Where you haven't much of what you had

To embrace the love of the rays that you have

On the other side of your homeland

For me as an immigrant, it has been a challenge on some counts. However, I have realized often that my old ways work here too and all I need is more love to offer and share, to dismiss the fear that smears my dreams.
By the end of the day, doesn't it unfortunately always land up being a fight with our own-selves for freedom.
